Surowitz Law Group’s founder, Allison Surowitz, brings an unparalleled level of energy and focus to every project. She works closely with San Francisco Bay Area businesses to create and implement strategic solutions to help operate their organizations more efficiently and effectively. Allison provides legal and business consulting services to her clients in order to help them determine how to better protect their entity.
Allison’s practice is extremely broad and diverse, often involving unique and novel legal and business issues. She works with her clients on issues relating to nearly every aspect of their business. Allison has a firm understanding that the legal decisions of a business often involve complex considerations that sometimes have consequences well beyond the apparent legal issues initially identified. Her all encompassing approach helps ensure that both short-term and long-term implications are taken into account. She takes the time to learn about each individual client’s current needs and ultimate objectives. With this knowledge, she is able to serve her clients in a way that guides them to a decision that best fits their business. Allison is incredibly practical and keeps her clients’ ultimate goals in mind as she works with them on individual matters.
Allison’s diverse legal background has served to form the broad foundation that supports her approach with her clients. She moved to The Hague immediately after graduating from law school to clerk with the Office of the Prosecutor at the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia. Upon her return to California, she joined a large San Francisco litigation law firm, where she initially began representing Bay Area businesses. Her years litigating proved to be invaluable. It was through this experience that caused Allison to refocus her practice around proactive, strategic legal counseling.
Allison earned her B.A. from Western Michigan University in 2002, and her J.D. from Santa Clara University School of Law in 2006. While in law school, she was a member of the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Team, the Pace International Law Moot Court Team, and the Santa Clara Trial Team. Allison authored Victims Advocate Brief, Pace International Law Review, Volume 17, Issue 2 (2006). She served as extern with the Law and Motion Department of the San Francisco Superior Court.
Allison is admitted to practice in California.
Allison is a very personable attorney that takes interest in her clients beyond business transactions. She is very reliable and prompt with her services and is easily accessible. We will continue to work with her throughout our many endeavors.
